Maleonn was born in Shanghai in 1972 and graduated from the Graphic Design Department of the Fine Art College of Shanghai University in 1995 before working as directors and art directors in the advertisement filming. In 2004, he started his career as an independent artist, and rapidly became an important figure in conceptual photography in China. Maleonn has held various photography exhibitions around the world, including Europe and America. His works of conceptual photography are being collected by international galleries, attracting widespread interest from photographers.
